Holyoak its Pete’s Basement!Holyoak cover art by KRISTOFFER “STAUFFER” SMITH For those of you that don’t know already know, Pete’s Basement is a fantastic Video Podcast that has very smart comic book fans talking about comics. Straight from Brooklyn these guys tear through the newest comics with gusto letting you know what to spend your hard earned dough on. On the May 17th Podcast, They have special guest Comic Writer/ and Cosplay super hottie Amber Love. Amber promotes her new Book Holyoak, a sorta grown up version of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, with interiors penciled and lettered by Shawn Harbin. Man that guy is everywhere. Its really a nice little intro to Ambers work and is a very entertaining little story. I am sure the first of many yet to come. I know Shawn spoke highly of getting to work on the book in a small hiatus from The Dungeon Comic. Amber will be appearing at Artist Alley Table with Shawn at Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con.

Problems with Online Store and Indy PlanetI greatly apologize to fans of The Dungeon Comic and Shawn Harbin that for right now the ordering of books through Indy Planet.com is temporarily unavailable. According to them their website was hacked a few months ago and they are currently updating their security. However in the process they have not alerted anyone associated With BSX22 in regards to the site being down. When purchasing items through Indy Planet, BSX22 Studios has no hands on dealing with the ordering, shipping or payment of any books sold through Indy Planet. As was our understanding that when customers ordered books, the book would be printed on demand and shipped from Indy Planet. In turn BSX would simply be credited a royalty on the book. For several weeks we have been informed the issue would be resolved but as of yet it has not. Shawn Harbin would like to greatly apologize to those who have attempted to purchase items through Indy Planet. I encourage you to let us know if you are not happy with any products. We hope to have things back up and running soon and everything rectified. If your order will not go through Indy Planet Contact us through the BSX22 Studios website and we will find a solution to your problem and get you the items you are in search to the absolute best of our abilities. If you have had any issues with our products. Shawn is working diligently to have Issue 6 The Super Zombie Spectacular in hand when he attends New York Comic Con In October. Again we apologize for any trouble this has caused. Hopefully soon the problems will be corrected. Our Deepest Apologies Shawn Harbin and the Staff of BSX22 Studios.

Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con was a huge success.Shawn would like to thank everyone that purchased his books and posters, commissioned orignal art, or simply just came by and visited his table in artist alley in Philly. He was very impressed with the show and the turn out. Not to mention his most successful convention yet. He had such a great time in the City of Brotherly Love, that he would love to go back just to sight see. While he was busy doing commisions, meeting and greeting people, and being interviewed by Ain't It Cool News he was still capable of meeting new friends. This time around he met former Marvel Artist, now penciler for Captain Action comics produced by Moonstone, John Hebert. He was really cool to us and told us great stories about his Marvelous Days. Also we made friends with Dawn Griffin writer and artist of the uber popular Zorphbert and Fred web comic. She was really cool and supplied cool candy. Please make sure to check her site out. If you visited Shawn at Philly Comic Con please send us an email and tell us about your experience. Wanna give us your feelings on Held Back or the latest Issue of The Dungeon Comic, as always do that too. Don't forget to check out www.comicrelated.com and go to the Convention link, find heroes con, and Listen to episode 208 to hear Shawn's Interview about The Dungeon Comic. The interview can also be found on Itunes for free podcast download. Also our friend Amanda Rachels artist for Clown Town was interviewed by Comic Related.com as well. please check out her interview here and keep voting for Amanda and Kevin they have made it to the last round. For those that visited him at Adventure Con in Pigeon Forge and Heroes Con in Charlette we thank you greatly for helping support us. It was great to meet Shannon Gallant artist for G.I. Joe at IDW best of luck to you sir. We would like to wish the best of luck to Paul McCauley, developer of the Genisis Works Game: Heaven. For if it were not for you, our banner would not have collapsed and scared the crap out of us and everyone else around... Twice. Paul you're a good guy but Shawn can't that kind of stress. Till Next Time Alki-Seltzer!! |

He thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone including Brande Roderick. She was very sweet. Unfortunately he missed Sandy Taylor whom he has had a crush on since high school. He made new friends there at the Convention such as some wonderful artists such as Steve Scott, Talon Dunning, Deanna Davoli (who is crazy!!!), Tammy Price, and G.W. Fisher who kept him highly entertained and even learned something from the man. G.W. “time is money my friend, Time is Money!” All of these Artists are great people and you need to check them out.
This past weekend was Heroes Con (Said in a deep reverberated voice!) Man, Shawn tore the doors off this sonuvagun. I have never seen him pumping out so many commissions of dead pool in his life. He greatly appreciated meeting some new people such as Chuck Moore from Comic Related.com. Comic Related has all kinds of cool stuff and news going on about the comics world and even interviewed The Man himself, no not Adam Hughes, Shawn Harbin!!!. So stay tuned for more on this interview. He was also happy to meet up with Kevin and Amanda from Blind Eye. We enjoyed having sushi with them, not to mention his most gracious and generous hosts of Green Lantern royalty at Morton’s Steak house in Charlotee. Thank you EVS, you are truly a class act. Not to mention Mr. Sgt Rock himself and his Medic/ Truck driving Companion Scott. Great people truly. Special Thanks to all the people who commissioned art work and purchased The Dungeon Comic and related merchandise. This coming weekend, be on hand as Shawn appears once again large and in charge in Philadelphia, PA at Wizard World. | Deep inside the walls of Jimmy Carter Middle School lies a problem no one will teach art to a class full of freaks, degenerates and criminals. In a world filled with middle management morons running the berg how can true education prevail? In a place where the counselors are virtually more certifiable than certified and the kids are more fit than the PE teacher, one man can bring order to chaos, well at least reign it in. Nothing makes school more public than Shawn Harbin’s Held Back |

From Time to time we get to meet some really cool people. At Mega Con this past March we met Amanda Rachels and Kevin LaPorte who are a fantastic creative team that head up blindeyecomic.com. They have a new project in the works and BSX22 Studios loves creator owned projects. Why? Because new original crap rocks!!! Since we love horror, if you read The Dungeon Comic (On Sale Now!!!) you know we do, so inturn we decided to help promote their work. If you like horror then you will want to check out this duo's latest project but first they need your help. Please vote for their comic propsal and help give them a lift up in the world of comics. The Small Idol Press contest is a competition that awards the winner 4 issues of their orignal comic published. Amanda and Kevin are really good people that deserve to win, for four reasons; they are extremely talented, sexy, cool, and becuase they Are buddies of Shawn, but mainly because they rock. You can check out their work at blindeyecomic.com. We appreciate your support in helping this band of sickos bring the happiness of horror to your world. |
