REY REYES |
Rey wants to start off by saying he hates typing these things because he never knows what to say and certainly doesn’t wanna come off sounding like a braggart. So with that being said…here you go.
Rey has been drawing comics and cartoons since he was 5 years old in Southern CA. Comics and art have been his passion as long as he can remember, always striving to make a career out of creating art. Rey attended Pasadena City College for 2 years as an Art Major before moving on to drawing up character designs and storyboards for a now possibly defunct animation company. He then moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1995 and has since worked in many areas of media. Rey has designed characters, costumes, logos and storyboarded scenes on movie productions as well as comic books. He provided CD cover art for musical acts ranging from Metal to Rap genres and has been commissioned by both TV and music celebrities to work on anything from realistic portraits to comic art. Among the many versatile projects that have brought Rey’s art to the attention of the public, he has also contributed to the local art community by having designed props for local theater and creating community mural art pieces. A few of Rey’s biggest art influences are Jim Lee, Sam Keith, Simon Bisley, Simone Bianchi, Salvador Dali, Marc Silvestri, Jae Lee, Mike Deodato Jr. and John Buscema. Besides displaying his productions in the many different areas, on his spare time (which is few and far between) Rey writes music and lyrics, which from time to time he has performed. He has also found himself in front of the camera as both an actor and a stuntman for small indie films.
Rey currently heads his production company of Po’ Monkey Comics with his wife Nadia. He has been working hard on his new comic book Teddy Bear Man, while developing new comic and movie ideas, scripts and designs.
Rey is available for commissions and sketch cards. Feel free to contact him regarding your

A portion of the proceeds from all of Rey’s art work goes to fight Autism!!!
